Sugar-free speculaas

Whether authentic speculaas shapes or simply squared, these biscuits will taste delicious, whether it’s Christmas or not. Use spelt flour and Hermesetas instead of sugar. Happy munching!

Preparation:

  1. Mix the flour, Hermesetas Granulated, speculaas spices, baking powder and salt. Knead with the cold butter, egg and milk in the food processor, then mould with your hands into a dough ball, wrap in cling film and chill for two hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 °C top and bottom heat. Cut biscuit shapes out of the dough and bake in the oven for approx. 10 minutes. Leave to cool on a cooling rack after baking.

    Tip: If you don’t have a speculaas-shaped cutter, simply use a rectangular one.
