Strawberry jam with chia seeds
Strawberry jam with no cooking required: Try our easy recipe with chia seeds. Left in the fridge, the sugar-free spread practically makes itself.
Preparation
- Purée the washed strawberries together with the Hermesetas Granulated. Then add the chia seeds to the strawberry purée and immediately mix well.
Note: It is normal for the fruit purée to look very fluid to start with; the chia seeds absorb the liquid over time. - Pour the mixture into a jar or jars, seal well and leave to soak in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Tip: The jam can also be made with other fruits, such as blueberries or raspberries. Depending on the fruit used, you may need to press the fruit purée through a sieve before adding the chia seeds, in order to remove any seeds or large chunks.
The jam will keep in the fridge for around four days.
