Delicious cherry-nut cake
Fancy a delicious cake with hazelnuts, cherries and chocolate? Hermesetas Granulated gives a light sweetness, while cinnamon provides the right amount of spice.
- Preheat oven to 180 °C top and bottom heat. Chop the dark chocolate and set aside. Drain the cherries through a sieve. Liberally grease a springform (Ø 24cm).
- Beat the butter, Hermesetas Granulated and eggs into a foam in a food processor. Mix spelt flour, ground hazelnuts, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl and stir into the butter-egg mixture. Fold in the chopped chocolate and half of the cherries into the batter.
- Pour the prepared batter evenly into the springform. Place the remaining cherries on the cake and bake in the oven for 50 minutes. Leave to cool on a cooling rack after baking.
