Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad
PREPARATION:
Rinse the broccoli and cauliflower and cut them into small florets. Place the vegetables into a pot with a small amount of boiling water at the bottom, then turn down the heat and blanch for 2 minutes. Drain the water and allow the broccoli and cauliflower to steam off. Slice the red onion into small cubes. Fry the turkey bacon in a pan until it is crispy, then cut it into small pieces. Chop the almonds coarsely and toast them in a dry pan until they turn golden brown. Put all of the ingredients except the almonds into a bowl. Prepare the dressing by pouring all the dressing ingredients into a small bowl and stir. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss it until the dressing is well distributed. Sprinkle the roasted almonds over the salad just before serving.
