A simple recipe for all Halloween fans: When skeletons and ghosts are at the door, give them gruesome yet healthy witches’ fingers made from spelt flour!
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 180 °C top and bottom heat.
Mix the spelt flour and Hermesetas Granulated, then knead together with the cold butter, egg yolk and a little bitter almond flavouring to form a pastry dough. Refrigerate the dough for at least half an hour. - Taking pieces of the dough, roll into finger shapes and press two small dents into each. Use a knife to score the dough at the knuckles. Place an almond on the end of each finger to form the nail. Bake the fingers in the oven for around 15-20 minutes.
